Serving and former members of the Royal Signals.

Meetings:

Meets at the Royal British Legion, Ladybarn Branch, Beverly Road, Manchester M14 - on the first Sunday of each month at 1pm.

Life Membership of the Royal Signals Association costs £10, there is small levy at each meeting to cover the cost of refreshments.

42nd Signal Regiment Officers Club

The 42nd Signal Regiment Officers Club was founded on closure of the Regiment in 1967 to enable retired Officers to keep in touch socially and continue friendships formed during service.

Aims:

To facilitate continuing friendships of former officers of 42nd and 33rd Signal Regiments.

To assist 42nd Signal Squadron (Volunteers) and 33rd (Lancashire and Cheshire) Signal Regiment (Volunteers) in any way possible.

Membership:

Former officers of 42nd, 59th and 33rd Signal Regiments.

By invitation, serving and former commissioned officers of all services.

Meetings:

Four Sunday lunches at Norman Road each year.

The club has approximately 50 members, the annual membership fee of Two Guineas has been unchanged since formation of the club in 1967.

67 Club

Formed in 1981 consisting of former Officers, Warrant Officers and Senior NCOs who had served in the unit since 1967.

33rd Signal Regiment Warrant Officers’ and Senior NCOs’ Association

Formed 1998, charter etc. to be decided.


Still Recruiting...

42 Signal Squadron is still recruiting spare-time soldiers to train on Tuesday evenings,  weekends, plus a 2-week exercise each year, often abroad. 
Applicants should be medically and physically fit, and aged 17 - 32 (can be older with previous military experience).
